Both of these leagues have seen an increase in participation from members and non-members. if you’d like to play next year keep your eyes out for the kick off meetings in the spring.

The event scheduled for this Saturday July 13th has been cancelled, course will be open to the public for play all weekend.
It appears Mother Nature may give us a couple days of good playing weather later this week maybe even into the weekend somewhat.
Keep in mind the course was closed for most of the day last week on Friday due to some pretty wet conditions including holes that were flooded out. So please if using a cart be aware of course conditions and don’t drive through standing water, we appreciate your efforts to keep the course in good condition during this wet season.
The meeting for 2019 Men’s League will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday April 29th. Need not be in attendance to play but need to be signed up. If unable to attend but wish to play email the board at

The annual meeting has been scheduled for Friday November 9th, at the country club. Social hour will start around 6:00 PM with the annual meeting and board elections to follow at 7:00 PM.
As we draw closer to the end of the year we are starting to work on preparations to close the season as well as things to improve upon for next year. One such thing the board wants to reach out and let everyone know about is that we are looking for a privacy fence for the clubhouse. We are trying to clean up the presentation of the building since we lost some of the trees and other bushes this year that were in front and on the side of the building. If you or someone you know is looking to get rid of a privacy fence please let one of the board members know or you can email us at theboardofjesupgolf@gmail.com.
Your help is appreciated as we strive to make the course and clubhouse as great as possible this will help make the clubhouse presentable as a venue for future events.
Scott has assessed the course and mowed all the greens. Please be mindful of wet areas, hole 3 currently still has some standing water throughout the fairway which will hopefully be dried up by 3:00 but those types of areas should be avoided.
Due to the rain received to this area over the last 24-48 hours, the course will be closed until at least noon today. The course is currently unplayable due to some flooding on the course but grounds crew is optimistic if the rain stops we could be ready to go by early afternoon. Please keep checking in for updates.
Here are the results from the 3 person best shot that took place on 7/8/18. Thank you to all the participants it was a huge success.
STEAK NIGHTS HAVE RETURNED
Steak night will take place Thursday June 28th. This is a grill your own event.
The meal will include a hand cut ribeye between 12 and 14 ounces, an extra large baked potato, tossed salad, and garlic bread that you can throw on the grill as well. $19.95 plus tax
If steak is not your thing, we will also have some extra large, marinated chicken breasts available for $12.95 plus tax
Due to the cost of ribeyes, we are requiring you to stop out to the 9 and sign up for this event so we know how many we need to order. The final day to sign up will be Monday, June 25 as we have to put the order in with our vendor the morning of the 26th.
Invite your family and friends! We hope to see you there!
As the weather changes and we start to get into the drier parts of the year please remember to fix your divots and keep carts away from the greens. This helps ensure that the grass on and around the greens stays healthy as well as keeps the course in the great shape.
Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you all out there.
Tune in here to get tournament results. Attached are the results of our first 2 tournaments from this year.
Good afternoon, we will be starting our Friday couples league June 1st. This is a weekly league so you don’t have to play every week to get in on any given week please turn in your scorecard with contact information and your $5 entry fee. We will flight it and post the results prior to the next week as best we can. If you have any questions please email the board of directors at theboardofjesupgolf@gmail.com
Attention to all with a green thumb!
The Jesup Golf Grounds Committee is currently looking for families or groups of people to adopt the planter boxes located at the tee boxes on holes 1 and 3 as well as the wall on 7 along the cart path and tee box. You may use your discretion on what you would like to plant. You may use annuals or perennials, we just ask that you be respectful of the other members as well as the course. Your responsibilities would be plantings and then taking care of it throughout the season. You may use your choice of mulch as well or none at all. Please email the board back as soon as possible to let us know who and what tee box you want to make look great.
Thank you for your continued support and help,
Jesup Board of Directors and Grounds Committee Chairs
Todd Rohlfsen
Craig Frush
